Daily

Hi Friends.
Happy New Year!
These Daily pages are from back in October.

I had gone on a quilt retreat with my quilt friends.
Totally refreshing and relaxing!

I don't know why I love this Bicycle Stencil so much!
Maybe it just reminds me of my childhood.
I don't think I have been on a bike in 30+ years!

I love this retro look stencil behind my pumpkin sketches.
It is the November 2014 StencilClub offering.

Happy Arting!

Daily

In September, our family took a long weekend
in a house overlooking Lake Michigan.
It was pretty fabulous.

Every evening we had a campfire and watched the sunset.

Every day we walked on the white sandy beach of Lake Michigan,
found sea glass and played in the water.

We did olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting in Saugatuck.

It was peaceful and relaxing...just what the family needed.
Our little grand baby was just one month old....
we got to hold him and snuggle him....

I think I tasted the best ice cream EVER at Sherman's Dairy Bar in South Haven.

A really fabulous time.......

I used the  both the positive and the negative impressions of the
4x4" crosshatch stencil from the August 2014 StencilClub collection.

Happy Arting!

Daily

I tacked on a few days in Portland, OR after my Idaho trip.
I figured since I was three quarters of the way to my friends house
I should jump over another state and visit them.
The nice surprise was another of our friends flew up from San Diego to join us!

So after my day of boot shopping and Brave Girl Friends
I was up at the edge of dawn to catch another plane heading west.

From the airport we traveled around town seeing the sites.
I got my books stamped at the park's welcome center.
The nice lady gave me a sticker too!

We had to visit VooDoo Doughnuts for a big pink box.
WoW!

Someone send me a memo next time!
I have lots of blue sweaters!
Hi Girls!! This is me waving at you!
I had a wonderful visit with you...
xo

Did I mention how delicious those doughnuts were?
Mmmmmmm....

We hung out and did clay art and drawing...
We chatted late into the nights...
We popped in a movie I had never heard of...
The Secret of Kells.
It is animated..about the Book of Kells.
Awesome and Creative.
Very beautifully illustrated.

I highly recommend the movie.
It is free if you have Amazon Prime.

Oh...we watched UP too.
So fun!
Drawing and chatting while watching cartoons!
It was wonderful!
Pizza for dinner.

And then a Travel Day!

Happy Arting Everyone.

Daily and a Retreat

I mentioned in a previous post that I had spent some time
stitching in Idaho with some Brave Girl friends.
A Soul Comfort Retreat.
What a pleasure it was!

You have to experience it.....
Because what happens at Brave Girls Camp stays at Brave Girls Camp!
Me and Melody Ross.

They fed us in fabulous fashion!

And after camp was over I went Boot shopping!
What a memorable trip!

I dreamed big dreams.
My art bag went with me and I kept up with both my Daily and my DLP.
Eating and Stitching. It's pretty much all we did!

Rocky Mountain High!

Idaho is pretty awesome!
I hope you get to go on an adventure soon!

Happy Arting!
