Finishing up my Daily pages from my quilt retreat
at the Rustic River Retreat House in Austinburg, Ohio.
I used just the acorns from Jane LaFazio's Texas Red Oak Stencil.
Since it is fall...
and there were acorns all over the place...
and squirrels too.
Thursday we went on a field trip to a nearby quilt shop.
The owner, Kori, and her mom Kathy
were in the same wool applique class with me
in Orvieto, Italy back in May 2011..
It was a time we all treasured!
Kori's shop is just darling!
We brought food and meals in since we had a fully stocked kitchen.
We really ate well!
And Mary loved her pin cushion.
I think we all loved what we made for each other.
Connie made me the 2 pumpkins!
One for home and one for travel.
(((love)))
We hated to see it end but our time was up.
Thursday night we packed up our supplies.
Friday was 'get it all back in the car' day....
Coffee, breakfast and goodbyes.
Good Times!

ReplyDeleteYour pages are always so beautiful and full of life. Have you ever/can you tell about your method? How you create your pages? And are those Tombow markers/watercolor markers? How do you attain such shadings and backgrounds, and then do beautiful doodling on top? So unique and inspiring.
