Rubbermoon Stamps and StencilGirl Hop

Hello Stencil Lovers!
This was a Fun Hop to participate in.
Rubbermoon Stamps are pretty cool!
I chose Afternoon Tea designed

The Rubbermoon Stamp Company is owned by Kristin Powers...
who is also a stencil designer for StencilGirl Products!

I used the 4" mini stencil called MidCentury Modern Elements #3.
I used the stencils in the background.

I stamped the image with StazOn Ink onto tissue paper.
The cheap old kind....
I was able to make it reversible.
She could recline in either direction that way.
I decided how I wanted to compose this page
and used Matte Medium to adhere the lady onto the right spot.

I gave her a lamp to read by...
and another plush chair for when company comes.

This is a perfect start to my Daily page for Sunday the 5th.
I love starting a new spread!

Relaxing and reclining with her cup of tea....
What a lucky Lady!

  6. I love using tissue paper with stencils and/or stamps.... I use the cheap dollar store kind with modgepodge or white glue - love the benefit of 'perfect placement'!
now where did I put my tea bags.... I feel like reclining.

  8. Hey All! I never thought to mention what kind of tissue paper it is! It is the cheap ole dollar store version! Probably from a Christmas Present last week! Thanks for all the kind words. Art is SO much FUN!

  23. Great tip to use tissue paper for the stamping so you have a choice in how the finished project will look. Have to remember that. Great project. the lady does look comfortable - probably thinking up her next project, or relaxing after finishing one.

  40. I LOVE that technique to reverse an image! Many times I've wanted to use a stamp but it was "facing" the wrong way. This is brilliant!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Thank you for teaching us about the reverse image. I know that alot of us will be using that in the future. But wait a minute, how did you know that I'm laying on the couch, drinking coffee on the cold, snowy day with a lamp beside me. Do you have one of those cameras??? LOL. Seriously though, this stamp is awesome. I can see making cards and sending it off to my girlfriends. They'd so love it. Thanks again for sharing this with us.
