New Seth Apter Stencils

Hi Stencil Lovers!
We are art hopping with Seth Apter today
featuring his new stencil designs from StencilGirl Products.

I started with the star from the 9x12 Urban Outsiders stencil
and used the Urban Insider Star too.
I used StazOn Ink in Black Cherry and Pumpkin
with my new Groove Tool ...
Then covered it in Golden Brand Gesso.
I wanted it to be in the background to start with.

I used some Perfect Pigment Acrylics and the Perfect Glaze on top of this.
It gave it beautifully intense colors.
I used a brayer to lay some color down and also to lift some color up.
I played with my background until I was happy with what I had.

Some of the stars needed accentuating at this point....
And some paint splats and drippiness needed happening.

A quote seemed appropriate here.....
First I wrote it in red but realized right away that it needed to be in black.
No worries. It's about playing and trying new things.

The page seemed kind of plain at this point.
I often put a scallop border on some of the edges...
so I looked at Seth's stencils and decided
I could use the long rectangle on his Urban Outsiders Stencil.
The Groove Tool makes it so easy to apply the ink.
This makes a good border, coupled with the texture
 from his 6x6 Transform Stencil.

And of course I used Seth's stencils in my Daily.

I started with the large rectangle again on the Urban Outsiders Stencil.
So now I had a box at the top of my page.....
Hmmm... what to fill it with....
There were some words on the 6x6 Transform Stencil.
Yes. Perfect....
So I shaded colors and played and added texture and drips.

I looked at that Techno Insider Circle
and knew I had to use it somewhere...
It made a great border for along the top of this spread.

I loved this Techno Circle Stencil as a border...

It gave me the idea to use the squares as a row...
Making it more like a unit instead of individual squares.
So....in my Gratitude Journal.....

I moved the design around in different directions
so each square was not totally identical to the one next to it...

What fun!
Seth Apter always comes up with unique designs!
There is a giveaway to one lucky winner...
So go around to all the Artist's in the Hop and
leave a comment on each blog for more chances to win.
Happy Hopping!
