I used all kinds of specialty threads for edges and details...
as well as Fabrico Markers to fill in.

  19. Fantastic! I think this is my favorite project on the hop. How smart to use your stencil for something other than what it is intended. Embroidery is one of my favorite pastimes. Put this stencil and idea on my list.

  32. This project is such a treat for me! My first love was embroidery. My godmother gave me a gift of embroidery kit when I was recovering from polio many years ago. I used to cross stitch but mixed media is my fav today but never foget the feel of the fabric/linen when embroidering and cross stitching. Thanks for taking me to that memory.

  41. Beautiful project. I'm into needlepoint and counted cross-stitch. I was never good at getting my stitches to look
    even (or natural) when I tried regular embroidery.
