PaperArtsy and StencilGirl Together!

Welcome to another StencilGirl Hop with PaperArtsy Rubber Stamps.
Oh Wait a minute!
Maybe it's a PaperArtsy Hop with the StencilGirl team participating!
It doesn't matter! I am just glad I was introduced to these great rubber stamps!
I chose the Eclectica (Ellen Vargo) 06 Circles.
I wanted them for the texture and interest they will add to my Daily pages and my Planner,
as well as any art journal page or painting I can conjure.

One of the first things I did when I received my package from
PaperArtsy was to pull out tissue paper and deli paper and stamp the images.
I suppose you will notice I ordered a few other stamps too!
I just put them all out there on the tissue paper!

I wanted to see how they stamped...and I will use some later in the project....

If you follow along with my art journey, you will know I like to make books.
So here goes a couple more books!
I stamped one of the PaperArtsy stamps right through the X's.

Then I used the PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paints in guacamole.
Much more translucent so you can see the layers in there.

When I was happy with how my backgrounds looked I added a focal image....
I knew some of the Be Brave line of stencils from Maria McGuire
would make perfect titles for some of my handmade books.
Live Your Beautiful Life and Tell Your Story were my picks for these.

I played until I liked the outcome....

Then I painted and stamped the inside covers of the books
in the same 2 paint colors as well...
I LOVE these 'cheerios'!

And the book making begins.
I used a simple long stitch for my bookbinding.

Google it if you want to know the details.
It's one of the easier binding methods.

My last touch is to use matte medium
to glue strips of the stamped tissue paper (from the very beginning step)
onto the white bookbinding tape...

Then I lightly laid a wash of the Guacamole Fresco Finish Acrylic Paint
over the binding to carry through the whole color scheme.

Lovely!
There you go.
Two new art journals!

I love how they turned out.
Thanks again to PaperArtsy Rubber Stamps for inviting the SG team to hop along with them!
