Hello Stencil Lovers!
StencilGirl Stencils has teamed up with SIZZIX
for this latest hop!
The newest idea from Sizzix is
ARTIST TRADING BLOCKS.
Scoreboard Block Dies are designed by Sizzix Artist Eileen Hull.
Unlike Tags and ATC's
Artist Trading Blocks are Three Dimensional
so there are lots of surface areas to share your beautiful artwork.
3-D!
How cool is that?
And in 3 sizes!
I used stencils on 3 of the 4 blocks I did.
I started out doing the smallest one.
I was just curious how it would go together.
Then I became more adventuresome!
I wondered about backgrounds
and I added washi tape to the base of this bigger block.
Then gesso and stencils and markers and glaze pens.
I used the center flower of the Stitch a Greek Medallion Stencil
designed by Maria McGuire.
They lay nice and flat and easily fit
into a large envelope for mailing and trading.
The pastel medium sized block has an overall pattern
starting with a glaze pen and Andrew Borloz's 6" Wheel Spokes Set #2
The little orange flowered block was strictly doodles.
I put Terri Stegmiller's Broken Circles 6" Stencil
on each side of the second larger block
and embellished and doodled from there.
Don't forget to sign your art before you send it off!
What great trades these will make!!!
Did you know there is an Artist Trading Block Face Book Page?
And they have a website 'Artists on the Block' Website Here.
Don't forget to visit all the Hop Artists playing along today.
Comment on each one because there are prizes involved!
