Ready Or Not

The above photos are from my Daily.
October rolled in and I felt very introspective.
I like challenges.
These two ladies, Jessica Sporn and Carolyn Dube,
have started a Fall Fearless and Fly challenge
on Artists in Blogland.
Headline Prompt: Inventing the Future: Where do you want to be 5, 10, 15 years from now. What's holding you back? What's propelling you forward? What do you need to do or stop doing to create your future?
Color Prompt: Warm colors (reds, oranges, pinks, yellows)
Quote Prompt: "The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time." Abraham Lincoln

This is how my page started.
I wrote my thoughts out on inventing my future.
My thoughts on goals and where I am going.

I am not crazy about how it turned out
but a lot of my thoughts and intentions went into it.
So it was a worthwhile page.
And there are parts about it that I love.

I love the texture of the painted lace.

I dug around an old sketchbook from 35 years ago to find this self-portrait.
I traced her on tracing paper and modpodged her in.
That's my past.
I've come a long, long way!

  2. Because I consider myself somewhat of a textile "artist" I am intriqued by your use of lace to create texture on the page. I know I will be keeping that idea in mind for a future project!

  4. I really really love this page. The texture of that lace is just amazing, and upward chevron pointing to the word Grow makes your affirmation such a focal point. I also really like the contrast between the clear and bold flowers on the top left and the atmospheric colors below. Really beautiful! Thank you so much for joining Fall Fearless & Fly!
