I wanted to stretch myself this year.
I joined Life Book 2013...
along with more than a thousand other artists all over the world!
And a few of my dear BG sisters!
The first warm up exercise was making a Fairy Art Mother.
It was a fun project.

The second project of Week One was a Journey.
I like that.... a Journey.
I kept thinking of the phrase 'Joy in the Journey'.
And 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step'.
Our page was to reflect on our blessings and our goals.
And we needed to include ourselves...moving somehow.
Wow!
This took a lot of planning and sketching.
I found a picture of a boy in a go cart which appealed to me.....
Found a photo of me with my head the approximate right size....
And there it was!
Fun!
But then...art is fun!
I added lots of layers...
Many positive affirmations...
Happy colors...
Yeah! I'm rockin' it with my cowboy boots and scarf!
Everyone has a story.....
I think Life Book will help me to think larger.
Here's to being Brave.

OOOOh ... I LOVE It! especially how you did your flowers.. and the bright, happy energy of the entire piece and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you created yourself! I never thought of adding my head to a body! I jsut love EVERYTHING about it...Grin... I'll have to post a photo of mine.... I did love the exercise especially thinking about my blessings before I listed my goals.. very empowering.. thanks for sharing!!!
