Daily...Starting # 11

I made the cover of Daily 11 during a Xyron Hop a while back.
Check it out here to see how I made it.
This is also a new step for me because
I am moving away from the Moleskine Watercolour Journals
And using Strathmore Journals instead.
I will see how it goes.
Strathmore is a heavier weight of paper.
I need a better quality for blending my colors
and not shredding and pilling the fibers in the paper.

How do you like that little hand stamp from Rubbermoon?
I will use it on my intro page on every journal I make.
Heart Made....Perfect!

This spread is playing around.
The colors, the blending, the face....
I just tried this and tried that
and then tried pulling it together!
It turned out okay.....

Happy Birthday to my Aunt Janet.
Teesha Moore and her husband, Tracy,
Have made this on line art community called the Artstronauts Club.
Of course I joined it!
Teesha is awesome!
And I was chomping at the bit to make a little astronaut guy!
Space has fascinated me since...(hahaha)
I Dream Of  Jeannie in the 60's.

I love the shading and the depth of this.
Of course it looks better when you hold it in your hands!
I LOVE this little guy!
And one more...just because I love it so much!

So Happy Anniversary to my Daily Habit!
Two Years of Books!
It's a great habit to be in!

This is what I have learned in the last two years....
Keep Telling Your Story.
And because I love this little guy so much...
Here's one more!
Happy Arting!

  1. This is so beautiful, love the way you use collors and drawings. And 11 books .. Thats a great treasure of art. Hope you have a great christmas and a happy and cfeative 2014.
    Liefs, Melanie

  2. I really like what you've done and wonder what Strathmore journal you are using. I want to replace the Moleskine, the quality has deteriorated since have been making them in China. I liked the softer cover and thickness of the Moleskine because I keep it in my purse.... Looking for a replacement.
