Welcome Stencil Lovers!
How exciting that we get to present the new StencilGirl designs by
What a treat that I got to use the 6x6" Thanks A Lotus stencil.
I like to incorporate stencils into what I do Every Day!
If you know me....then you know this means my
Daily and my DLP.
(Documented Life Project)
So I have Two examples of how I used this gorgeous Lotus Flower....
First in my DLP....
Every week we have a new challenge...so I did that part on the inside...
Then I made a flap from a notecard someone had sent me.
The Lotus was perfect.
I used an old hotel key and scraped some
Blick Studio Acrylic Cerulean Blue Hue, heavily,
through the stencil and let it completely dry.
I played with colors around it....
gel pens, posca paint pens, molotow paint pens...
dots, scribbles, smudges....
The lotus didn't stand up enough
and I didn't want to push more paint through the stencil...
so I made it stand out a little bit more by following the lines
with 3D Crystal Lacquer.
That thrilled me! Look how shiny it became!
I didn't go for perfection!
I LOVE how it turned out!
And I love running my hand over the flower. Wow!
Perfectly Imperfect!
Oh Pure Yumminess!
I thought of all the other things I could do with this delicious stencil
and I turned to my Daily.
I love how exotic this looks.
I simply traced the stencil with my standard fine tip Sharpie.
Then I used a huge variety of pens and markers
and went to town on it.
I love that little top flower and thought I could use it for a border.
Simple and sweet.
A pretty straight forward use of the stencil
but very attractive and expressive at the same time.
This spread is ready for dates and words and maybe
a few more embellishments and colors.
I'll know when I get to it!
Thanks for coming to visit me on this HOP.
