Someone Pinch Me!

I am serious friends!
Someone pinch me!
I am going to teach some classes over at Brave Girl University on how I do my Daily!
Can you believe it? I can hardly breathe!
I am so excited and thrilled and terrified all at once!
Is that even possible?

I want to tell everyone to just do it.
Sit down and create art!
Don't you hate when someone says that?
Just do it!

But it is time for me to get my thoughts and ideas and words
organized in my head and on that paper.....
and try my best to communicate what I know and how I feel .....
and WHY I am so passionate about how important it is
to create every day...to express myself.
I am talking mental health and sanity here people.

I am really pouring my heart into this....
and THAT is the scary part.
Putting yourself out there.
Being vulnerable.
But it is time...and here I go!

So if you have any desire at all... any inkling of curiosity about my Daily...
Any urging of your soul to express yourself in a way you may not have ever thought of...

Here's the thing.....
You don't just get my classes.
You get ALL the classes for the one price of  $24.95 a month.

Did you know Kelly Rae Roberts is on this teacher list?
And Flora Bowley? And Christine Mason Miller?
And Tamara Laporte? And Dina Wakely?
And more? Many Many Many More?

I have their books! I've taken their classes!
Wow!
I am So Grateful that Melody and Kathy believed in me enough
to include me on this list of fabulous teachers!

I am expecting some magic!

The Start of Something New

I am so excited to announce that I have been
included in the teacher line up for

September 1 is the launch date for this new format.
Today is pre-launch....
Expect hundreds of classes
including all of Melody's popoular
soulful material.....
A la Carte classes and Soul School classes....
All Of It!!!
Plus....
Scads of new teachers!
Scads of learning!
Scads of Fun!

I am planning on teaching about art journaling
and how I do my Daily Journal.....
and wool applique and stitching.

I am no expert, but I can show you what I do
and what works for me.

I went to Brave Girls Camp in June 2012
and it literally changed my life.

From Fear to Confidence.
I wrote 'fear' on a stone and threw it in the river.
I wasn't bringing it back home with me....
Then I wrote 'confidence' on another stone
and tucked it in my pocket.
Symbolic, I know, but my life was forever changed.

No obligation yet.
Just save yourself a spot

One of the Brave Girl mottos is....
Life Changing Fun for Women!
Come and see for yourself.
Hope to see you there!

StencilGirl Stencils and an Eileen Hull Hop

Fun Fun Fun!
A package from Eileen Hull came in the mail.
Included in the goodies was a die-cut Pizza Box and Framelits labels from her Sizzix line.
The finished size of this little box measures about 4 and a quarter inches square.
Hmmmm...What to do.....

Think of all the things you can make with a little pizza box!
First thing that came to my mind was a gift card holder....
birthdays, weddings, Christmas presents...
How about costume jewelry for your favorite teenage girl?
It comes with a divider...so how about four special handmade chocolates?

I toyed with the different ideas for awhile and decided it would be my box of truths.
Everyone needs a reminder once in awhile.

The smallest stencil from the August 2014 StencilClub stencils was perfect for the base.
I spread gesso through the stencil right on top of the chipboard.
It gave it dimension and a different surface for the pigment to grab onto.
I used blue sprays and markers blended into them till I was pleased with my result.

Greens and blues of course...my favorite go to colors.

I used one of the Framelit shapes and an oval that came with the die-cuts for my title label.

I blended my orange and Copper PanPastels with the Sofft Art Sponges on the inside.
It looks like delicious leather.
I traced one of the smaller shapes from the Marrakech Mix Stencil
onto the inside bottom to frame a special message.

I dug around my ephemera drawer
for special messages that I have collected over the last few years.

Some are paper clay, some are salt dough, some are sculpey,
and some are just painted rocks.
(The sculpey pieces are leftovers from an upcoming hop...stay tuned)

Eileen also sent us some of her stamp designs.
This set is called Doors.
I used that interesting stripe for the sides of my box.

I love my little Pizza Box.

Check out all the blogs on the Hop to see the wonderful projects...
Leave comments on all of them each day for more chances to win.
There are some great prizes, too....

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Arting!

Daily

Hi Friends!
More Daily Catch Up for you.
Here we are in the end of May
and still in Daily #13.
In Real Life I am getting ready to start on book 15
so I figured I better pile it on awhile!

This is a  Rubbermoon Art Stamp called Bar None....
The design kind of reminded me of a barber pole...
I thought I might get a lot of use out of it.
It makes a great border.

The circle design is from the June 2014 StencilClub stencils.
It was the smallest stencil of the three and it was 4 bobbins.

The next page came together because of a leaking pen.
It made a mess so I ran with it.
I let it drip everywhere.
I used it up and then threw it away!

Brave Girl Julie's birthday!!!!!

The bumblebee is from the May 2014 StencilClub stencils.

That little fella shows up frequently!

Brave Girl Jen's birthday!

Till next time...
Happy Arting!

Daily

I tacked on a few days in Portland, OR after my Idaho trip.
I figured since I was three quarters of the way to my friends house
I should jump over another state and visit them.
The nice surprise was another of our friends flew up from San Diego to join us!

So after my day of boot shopping and Brave Girl Friends
I was up at the edge of dawn to catch another plane heading west.

From the airport we traveled around town seeing the sites.
I got my books stamped at the park's welcome center.
The nice lady gave me a sticker too!

We had to visit VooDoo Doughnuts for a big pink box.
WoW!

Someone send me a memo next time!
I have lots of blue sweaters!
Hi Girls!! This is me waving at you!
I had a wonderful visit with you...
xo

Did I mention how delicious those doughnuts were?
Mmmmmmm....

We hung out and did clay art and drawing...
We chatted late into the nights...
We popped in a movie I had never heard of...
The Secret of Kells.
It is animated..about the Book of Kells.
Awesome and Creative.
Very beautifully illustrated.

I highly recommend the movie.
It is free if you have Amazon Prime.

Oh...we watched UP too.
So fun!
Drawing and chatting while watching cartoons!
It was wonderful!
Pizza for dinner.

And then a Travel Day!

Happy Arting Everyone.
